Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapy services at IICA offer a collaborative and client-driven approach to help promote success and increase independence in all aspects of daily living for adults and children. Our experienced occupational therapists work closely with our patients to develop and achieve measurable goals based on comprehensive assessments.
Through therapeutic intervention our therapists can help increase independence for daily life skills and build functional skills required for essential daily routine activities. These can include self-care, cognitive skills, fine motor, gross motor, visual motor integration, and sensory integration.
IICA Speech occupational therapists can help with:
● Self-care Tasks - getting dresses, feeding, brushing teeth, and tying shoes.
● Cognitive Skills - remembering names, formation of letters, and sustaining attention.
● Fine Motor Skills - manual dexterity, finger isolation, and hand strength.
● Gross Motor Skills - postural control, balance and coordination, and motor planning.
